Restoring Stability in Uncertain Times

Dear Brothers & Sisters In Christ,

Recently, through your faithful and continued support, we were able to continue providing relief in Gaza. Some highlights of what we have provided:

  • 50 families in central Gaza food baskets valued at approximately $100 each, providing essential supplies during severe shortages.

  • Clean drinking water in multiple locations across the Gaza Strip.

  • Serve both Christian and non-Christian families in need through clothing assistance.

These acts of practical love are sustaining families physically, but the Lord is also sustaining them spiritually.

A Story from Believers in Gaza

One believer recently shared how reading Scripture has carried him through the trauma of war:

“Verses like, ‘Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you’ (John 14:27) became a shield protecting my mind. Reading Psalm 23 and Psalm 91 redirected my focus from the size of the problem to the greatness of God.”

In the midst of explosions and uncertainty, God’s Word restored peace, stability, and hope. He described how Scripture reminded him that true peace does not depend on circumstances, but on trusting in God’s presence. He also shared that reading the Bible helped him guard his heart against hatred, preserving love, forgiveness, and compassion even in the darkest moments.

“Reading moved from being a personal act to a shared mission,” he said. “The truths I found were like a flame I sought to pass on to others, to light the darkness of fear.”

Another believer added:

“Yes, I read it. It planted reassurance within me despite fear and killing. I also shared with fellow believers, including deaf brothers.”

Even in war, the Church remains alive, resilient, and anchored in the Word of God.

Night to Shine

Last week, Bethlehem hosted its very first Night to Shine, joining the global celebration led by the Tim Tebow Foundation and held simultaneously in countries around the world. It was a beautiful and historic evening for our community, a night centered on dignity, joy, and the tangible expression of God’s love.

Night to Shine exists to honor individuals with disabilities by providing a special evening where they are celebrated, valued, and respected. This year, approximately 100 guests with special needs attended the event, each accompanied by a family member. Nearly 100 volunteers served throughout the evening, bringing the total participation to more than 300 people gathered together in celebration.

Christian Mission to Gaza, along with Emmanuel Church, NextGen Palestine, and the Seeds of Hope Association, partnered to make this event possible.

We are deeply grateful for these partnerships and for the many local institutions serving individuals with disabilities that contributed to the program. This collaboration demonstrated the strength of unity within the Body of Christ and the wider community.

Throughout the evening, a clear message of faith and love was shared. Guests were reminded that:

  • They are loved unconditionally by God.

  • They are created in His image.

  • They possess inherent worth and dignity.

Participants were encouraged to thank God for His gifts, to live in acceptance of His work in their lives, and to see one another through the lens of being created in His image. The atmosphere was filled with joy, dancing, celebration, laughter, and moments of deep connection.

The event was warmly received by the local community and delivered a powerful message of inclusion, dignity, gratitude, and hope. For many families, this was more than a celebration; it was a moment of affirmation and belonging.

We thank the Lord for allowing Christian Mission to Gaza to be part of this first Night to Shine in Bethlehem. We pray this will become an annual tradition that continues to uplift and honor those who are so precious in His sight.

Urgent Housing Need

We would greatly appreciate your prayers and support regarding a new and urgent concern. 43 Christian families who evacuated to churches in Gaza during the war now have no homes to return to. Many of their houses were destroyed or severely damaged during the conflict. We are preparing to provide at least one month of rent assistance for families who have nowhere else to go. This immediate support will help stabilize them during an incredibly uncertain time and prevent further displacement.

Without our timely assistance, these families risk facing yet another wave of instability. Your partnership can help provide not just shelter, but renewed hope.

As always, we welcome your prayers, messages, and continued connection with our ministry.

With gratitude,

Pastor Hanna Massad
