A Story Of Healing and Hope

A Story Of Healing and Hope

For many years, Wissam, a 39-year-old father of three, endured severe stomach pain, breathing difficulties, and constant exhaustion. What began as persistent discomfort slowly grew into a condition that affected every part of his life. His illness limited his ability to work, care for his children, and provide for his family, placing deep emotional and financial strain on their home.

His wife, Mai, who is originally from Gaza, faithfully stood by his side through years of uncertainty and hardship. Despite the challenges, the family continued to hope and pray for answers. After years of suffering, doctors finally discovered the cause: advanced acid reflux and a serious hiatal hernia. The diagnosis made it clear that surgery was the only lasting solution.

By God’s grace, Wissam was able to undergo the necessary operation. After years of pain and waiting, the surgery was successfully completed.

Christian Mission to Gaza was honored to come alongside this family during their time of need. Through the generosity and faithful support of our donors, the Mission helped cover the cost of this life-changing surgery.

Update from the Region

How the Current War Is Affecting Daily Life

Many of you have asked how the current conflict involving Iran is affecting people in Gaza and the West Bank. We recently received this update from our partners on the ground.

In the West Bank, the situation has become very tense. Rockets are frequently flying overhead toward different areas in Israel, which has created a constant sense of anxiety among the population. Fuel and gas are limited, and schools have been closed in many areas. People are waiting and wondering what the coming days will bring.

In Gaza, there has been relative stability in the sense that there has not been fighting from Gaza toward Israel during this period. For that we are thankful. However, daily life remains difficult. Some basic goods have become more expensive, and certain items are harder to find. There are reports that some aid is beginning to enter, so people are watching and waiting to see what will happen.

Within the Christian community, several families have recently left the church compound and are attempting to find places to rent. We are working to help these families as much as possible during this uncertain time.

Thank you for your continued prayers and concern for the people of the region during this time. As always, we welcome your prayers, messages, and continued connection with our ministry.

Blessings,

Pastor Hanna Massad
