Tragedy at the Latin Church

A tragic attack took place at the Latin Church in Gaza on Thursday, July 18, when Israeli missiles struck the church.

Three members of the Christian community were killed, and ten others were injured, including a priest who sustained minor injuries, while others were more seriously wounded.

A Christian mother held her injured son in her arms.

Sadly, this is not the first time Christian sites have been targeted. On October 19, 2023, 18 people were killed in an attack on the Greek Orthodox Church compound.

As you can imagine, the level of devastation, fear, and concern continues to grow as the situation becomes increasingly dangerous, especially for the most vulnerable.

We kindly ask you to keep the people of Gaza in your prayers, for those who have lost loved ones, for the healing of the injured, and for an end to this ongoing nightmare.

We will continue to keep you informed and remain committed to doing all we can to support the Christian community in Gaza, as well as desperate civilians throughout the region, through relief efforts, compassion, and a faithful Christian presence.

Blessings,

Pastor Hanna Massad
