Suffering is Growing in Gaza
Thank you for your continued prayers and compassion. The past few weeks, by God’s grace and with your support, we were able to provide 2,000 hot meals to families across Gaza, including the south, middle, and north, reaching many who are hungry, displaced, and struggling to survive.
The need is overwhelming. Every day brings heartbreaking news of more lives lost, many of them children and innocent civilians. The trauma runs deep, and yet, even in the midst of such suffering, we hold tightly to the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:
“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat… Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
One video from the ground captured a man shouting, “I haven’t eaten in three days.” His cry reflects the pain of thousands. But together, with your help and the faithful work of our team in Gaza, we were able to respond with a warm meal and a reminder that they are not forgotten.
Christians in Gaza
Last week, we shared the story of a Christian family in Gaza and how Christian Mission to Gaza is providing financial stipends to help support Christian families enduring unimaginable hardship.
This week, we want to share more of what life is like for many of these families.
A Christian couple in Gaza recently described the immense suffering they and others are facing. Due to extreme shortages, many are experiencing severe malnutrition. Even the most basic staples, like flour, are often infested with insects and worms (“soos”). People report frequent dizziness, fainting, and ongoing intestinal problems due to the lack of clean, nutritious food.
Inside the churches, where many are sheltering, the atmosphere is heavy with fear and exhaustion. Some have not left their rooms in days because of nearby fighting, particularly around church compounds. Just recently, over 600 people were killed and thousands were injured in an area while attempting to collect food.
One strong Christian woman, a cancer patient, can now not access any medical treatment, and attempts to evacuate her have been nearly impossible. The community is growing weary. After nearly two years of suffering, their physical and emotional strength is wearing thin.
If you would like to help provide emergency stipends to Christian families in Gaza, please select "Christians in Gaza" when giving online or write it in the memo line of your mailed donation.
Thank you for helping us help the broader community and our brothers and sisters in Christ, including many in my childhood neighborhood in Gaza.
We continue to lift up prayers alongside the people in Gaza:
• That God would bring an end to the war and suffering.
• That peace and stability would replace fear and destruction.
• That leaders’ hearts would be softened and turned toward the path of peace.
• That aid would flow freely through the borders to reach those in desperate need.
• That the Lord would meet every physical need—food, water, and shelter.
• That prices would come down for those who have nothing left.
• That hearts in Gaza would be opened to the hope and healing found in Christ.
• That those serving would be strengthened, comforted, and protected.
Thank you for standing with us. Your love, prayers, and generosity are a lifeline in these dark days. As always, we love to hear from you and know you are with us & supporting us in prayer.
Blessings,
